Ani Siyah Clutches is a customized fashion brand of
Ghanaian origin established in July 2011 by talented
Ghanaian/Canadian Designer
Ama Sika Asante.
Ani stands for
Nancy (the designer’s English name) while
Siyah stands for
Nsiah (her mother’s maiden name).
Ani Siyah’s signature use of
Kente cloths (A brightly colored, banded material made in
Ghana) in its designs gives the brand a royal touch; thus giving each owner a piece of the panache that is associated with the revered Kings of the
Ashanti Kingdom. The brand also employs an eclectic mix of
Kente,
Ankara/Ntoma fabrics with leather, velvet, calf skin and a touch of crystal beads to enhance the beauty of the clutch.
Ani Siyah aims to produce quality products that represent the beauty of the cultural identity with where it’s coming from; no other place than
Ghana,
West Africa. Currently the variety is based in
Ghana, but is also available in the
United Kingdom,
Canada and
Nigeria. Ani Siyah aspires to delve into designing and producing other fashion accessories and ornaments in the near future. A design brand that has style and substance!
