Dark circles can take so much out of our looks. They can make us appear so tired, old, stressed, weak, ill and also unattractive. Concealers and other cosmetic products help, but only to a certain extent. So what can you do to get rid of those horrible dark patches that make you look older than your age?!

Diet for Under Eye Circles:
These diet tips will not zap your under eye circles overnight, nor by consuming only foods you will do any good to your skin and health. These are only pointers that may remind you the things you lack in your diet. A balanced diet is what we all need for a healthy body and skin.

Avoid Excessive Salt:
Salt contains Iodine, intake of too much iodine may be linked to under eye problems for some people. It can contribute to water retention which can lead to under eye circles. Regular consumption of cucumbers, watermelons, and celery prevents water retention problems and hence becoming very helpful on treating under-eye circles.

Include Fiber in your Diet:
You can have fiber in form of cereal, grains, beans, and lentils help to eliminate body toxins. Accumulation of toxins is one of the main causes of various skin problems.

Increase your intake of Iron-Rich Foods:
Vegetarians can go for lots of spinach, prunes, lentils, seeds, oatmeal, and brown rice. While others can  include egg yolks, lean beef, and chicken in their diet.

 Water should be your Best Friend:
You have to try and drink at least 8 glasses of water to hydrate and moisturize your skin. Water helps to flush out toxins from our bodies.
Eating Foods Rich in Folic Acid:
Eating foods that are rich in folic acid or taking Vitamin B and fish oil supplements is a very good idea. If at all you're unable to meet your daily nutritional requirements, its good to take some vitamins daily.
Consume foods Containing Antioxidant Pigments:
Cranberries, Blueberries, Black Currant, Onions, Legumes, and Parsley help to remove under-eye circles.
Always remember to apply sunscreen lotion before going out in the sun,
Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from UV rays.
Try and use creams or moisturisers that contain Vitamin C and E, they help reduce dark circles
